Apple cranberry pie 1/2c Brown sugar 1/4C. Flour 1/4C. chopped Walnuts 6- Medium Apples cored and sliced (Braeburn, Fuji, Gallia.) 1/2tsp Cinnamon 1/4tsp Nutmeg 1/2C Cranberries Cook in the microwave for 3 minutes, until fork tender. (set aside) Combine and place in a microwave safe bowl with lid. Place in microwave for 6 minutes. Gently fold, place back into microwave, and cook another 6 minutes. Add the cranberries and continue for 2 minutes. Pour into your pre-baked pie shell. Put your decretive top crust on and let cool completely. This pie will come out perfect every time .Apples will be tender, but not mushy. Pie crust 2 c Flour 1/2 c Lard 1/2c Sugar 1/4tsp Salt 4 to 6 tbsp Cold water cut lard into the flour, salt, and sugar mixture until pea size. add cold water a little at a time, until dough comes together to form a ball. chill 1/2 hour before you roll out. place in pie pan and bake 12 to 16 minutes till light golden color. cool. For the top crust roll out and cut with your choice of small cookie cutters. bake till light golden color. cool before you place on top of your pie.
