Announcing New Flavor Categories in the 2011
APC Crisco National Pie Championships
The APC and Crisco are announcing some new flavor categories
for 2011. The Crisco Innovation category is a special category for
2011 celebrating Crisco's 100 year anniversary. A special $2000
prize will be awarded in both the Amateur and Professional
divisions for the pie that best exemplifies both traditional pie
baking and modern innovation. All entries in this division must
include at least 1/2 cup of Crisco shortening or oil.
In addition, in the amateur division, we are introducing a glutenfree
category. Pies must be made with entirely gluten-free
ingredients. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third
place.
