Apples to Apple Pie John Sunvold
Crust:
1 1/2 C. Graham Cracker Crumbs
3 T Sugar
5 T Butter, Melted
Mix crumbs, sugar, and butter together. Press mixture into pie pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Caramel and Toasted Nuts
Melt 30 individually wrapped caramels with 1/4 c. milk. Add 1/2 c. toasted nut pieces and spread on pie crust.
Cream Cheese Layer
8 oz cream cheese
8oz cool whip
1/2 cup powdered sugar
Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Fold in Cool Whip. Spread on pie.
Apple Layer
9 Cups apple slices or pieces
4 T Butter
1 C Brown Sugar
1 t. Cinnamon
1 C. Apple Cider
Place all ingredients in a covered baking dish at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Stir. Continue to bake until apples are desired texture, checking every 5 minutes. Cool and chill. Spread on Cream Cheese Layer. Chill.
Whipped Cream
4 oz white chocolate
2.5 C cream
Heat one cup of cream and the white chocolate until chocolate is melted. Cool and chill overnight.
Whip 1.5 cups of cream to soft peaks, add white chocolate, and beat until stiff peaks. Top Pie.
Garnish and decorate and desired. Optional: Top with toasted nuts
