PIE CRUST
4 cups flour
1 3/4 cups crisco butter shortening ( chilled )
1 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 egg
1/2 cup water
Mix first four ingredients.
In separate dish, beat remaining ingredients.
Combine the mixtures, stirring with a fork.
roll to combine slpit into 2 balls wrap in wax paper
Chill 30minutes before rolling out.
OUTSIDE CRUST
1/2 stick butter ( softened )
2 1/3 cups pecan halfs
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup brown sugar ( packed )
rub inside whole deep dish pie dish whit butter till compleatly covered ; place pecans round side down till whole pan and sides are covered sprilkle bown sugar over pecans sprinkle chopped pecans over brown sugar press one hlaf of rolled out pie crust over nuts press crust onto nuts .
preheat oven to 450 F
APPLE FILLING
4 1/2 cups peeled cored and sliced granny smith apples
2 Tlbs cinnmon
3 Tlbs fresh lemon juice
3Tlbs all pourpos flour
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 Tlbs vanilla extract
mix all ingreadents except apples in bowl mix well
add apples stir till all apples are covered
pour apples into pie shell make sure the mound up in the middle cover with second rolled out pie crust and press sides crimp and fold to seal edges poke holes with fork to vent steam
bake in 450 F oven for 10 minuites drop temputure to 350 F bake 35 to 45 minutis till top is golden brown , let sit 10 minuites place serving plate over pie and flip over remove dish while pie is still hot , and serve
